Class 12 Chemistry Board Pointers
Two structure facts about the current syllabus are worth knowing before you begin.
- The book runs in two parts: Part I holds the physical and inorganic chapters, Part II the organic ones. Because each part restarts its own numbering, Solutions and Haloalkanes and Haloarenes both appear as Chapter 1, so track chapters by name, not by number.
- Some older units were removed in the rationalised syllabus, so topics such as surface chemistry and the p-block elements no longer appear in this list.
- Exam emphasis tends to fall on physical numericals and on named organic reactions, so split your practice accordingly.
