Class 10 CBSE Notes – Chapter-wise Revision by Subject

This page is the starting point for Class 10 CBSE notes on this site. Notes here follow the NCERT textbook chapter by chapter, and each subject has its own page listing every chapter with a short summary, key formulas, and exercise references.

The site is organised as class → subject → chapter, so once you pick a subject below you can jump directly to the chapter you need.

What This Class 10 Notes Hub Covers

This is the Class 10 hub page. All notes linked from here are written against the NCERT Class 10 syllabus, and each subject sits on its own page with links to every chapter in that book.

We are adding subject pages one at a time rather than publishing thin, half-finished notes for every subject at once, so if your subject is not listed yet, check back later or use the CBSE Notes index for other classes and subjects in the meantime.

It covers all 16 chapters of NCERT Class 10 Science — chemical reactions and equations, acids, bases and salts, life processes, electricity, light, and the rest — with definitions, labelled diagrams, formulas, and exercise-question references for each chapter.

Maths, Social Science and English notes for Class 10 are not published on this site yet. If you need those subjects right away, go to the main CBSE Notes page and check whether they are available for a different class, or check back here once they are added for Class 10.

How to Use These Notes for Board Exam Revision

Chapter notes work best as a revision aid, not a substitute for the textbook. Use this order:

  1. Read the chapter once from your NCERT textbook first — the notes assume you already know the context behind the diagrams and examples.
  2. Open the matching chapter notes page to check definitions, formulas, and key terms quickly instead of flipping back through the whole chapter.
  3. Attempt the NCERT exercise questions listed on that chapter page yourself before looking at any solution.
  4. Before the exam, revisit only the sections you marked as mistakes the first time — not the entire chapter again.

What Each Chapter Page Includes

Every chapter page on this site follows the same structure so you know what you’re getting before you click through: definitions and key terms pulled from that NCERT chapter, labelled figures reproduced from the textbook, the important formulas used in that chapter, and references to the NCERT in-text and exercise questions along with their page numbers in the textbook.

You can verify the source textbook itself on the official NCERT textbook page if you want to compare page numbers or check for a newer edition.

Common Mistakes Students Make While Navigating CBSE Notes Online

  • Skipping the textbook chapter first: jumping straight into notes without reading the NCERT chapter once means the diagrams and worked examples on the notes page won’t make sense on their own. Read the chapter first, then use notes to revise.
  • Ignoring the exercise questions: reading only the summarised notes and skipping the NCERT exercise questions listed on each chapter page weakens long-answer practice, which is exactly what board exams test. Attempt those questions, don’t just read the summary.
  • Not checking edition-year page numbers: NCERT page numbers referenced in notes can shift slightly between print runs of the same edition. If a page number doesn’t match your copy, use the chapter and section name instead of the number alone.
  • Treating notes as a replacement for solving numericals: notes summarise formulas and concepts, but subjects like Science need repeated numerical practice. Use the notes to recall the formula, then solve problems from the textbook separately.

Frequently Asked Questions on Class 10 CBSE Notes

Are these Class 10 CBSE notes based on the latest NCERT textbook?

Yes, the notes are written against the NCERT Class 10 textbook chapters. If your school uses a different print edition, cross-check page numbers on the official NCERT textbook page.

Is Class 10 Science the only subject available on this notes page right now?

Yes, Science is currently the only Class 10 subject with a published notes page on this site. Other subjects are being added and will appear in the subjects list above once ready.

Can I use these chapter notes instead of reading the NCERT textbook before the board exam?

No. The notes are meant to help you revise definitions, formulas, and diagrams after you’ve read the chapter, not replace the textbook. Skipping the textbook usually means missing the context behind exercise questions.

Do the chapter notes include NCERT exercise questions and their page numbers?

Yes, each chapter page references the NCERT in-text and exercise questions for that chapter along with the page numbers where they appear in the textbook.

Which Class 10 subject should I revise first using these notes?

Since Science is the only subject published here so far, start with the Class 10 Science Notes page and work through it chapter by chapter, using the four-step method described above.
